To the Feast!

The Feast of the Hunter's Moon that is. :)

I was demonstrating tatting lace today, but I did manage a few pictures. I'm putting a few here on the blog and you can click the link to go to Flickr to see them all.

I also started some lace gloves for the demonstration. Hopefully I'll have more pictures for you tomorrow.

We used to camp there and do the re-enactment stuff. My hubby has grown tired of it so we have been taking a break from it for a few years. Maybe one day we will do it again.

Oh the Feast of the Hunters Moon (or we affectionatly call it Feast of the Soggy Coon LOL). We had a few times that it rained so much that we had to leave. It looks like you had a great weekend though. Isn't the parade just amazing with all the people in it?

I am a tatter as well and have yet to figure out bobbin lace. Those people just amaze me. Was there a "French" (he is portraying french) man there doing bobbin lace? He is just awesome.

Ok so I am rambling. I just get excited when I can actually talk to some one about re-enacting and such. I hope you had a great time. I can't wait to see your gloves.

I realize you are not on this blog anymore, but I think it's neat that you demonstrated tatting. Good for you! :)
I am just sad there are no photos of the tatting. I see bobbin lace, though. I guess it was hard to tat and take a photo of yourself tatting, aye?
